Another article highlighting Google’s increasing dominance in the field of web search. Google has atleast 63% of the market share right now. Once it hits 70%, I’m going to start worrying about relying on Google so much.
In today’s world, information is power and when one entity controls so much of the “information dispensing”, we are relying on the whims of this one entity. A monopoly is never good for the market, even if the product is as good as Google’s search.
